Oxidation treatment plan for poor contact of pin header and female header

How to deal with signal attenuation or failure caused by oxidation of the contact surface of the pin header and female header?
Firstly, the thickness and distribution range of the oxide layer are detected by precision instruments, and the contacts are ultrasonically cleaned using anhydrous ethanol or specialized electronic cleaning agents to remove surface oxides and pollutants. For areas with severe local oxidation, micrometer level grinding technology can be used to repair the flatness of the coating, while inert gas shielded welding technology can be used to avoid secondary oxidation. At the preventive level, priority should be given to contact designs with a gold plating thickness of ≥ 0.2 μm or silver plating process, and the corrosion resistance of the coating should be verified through salt spray testing. For application scenarios in high temperature and high humidity environments, it is recommended to apply a nano level anti oxidation coating during connector assembly, combined with periodic insertion and removal maintenance (such as cleaning the contacts after every 5000 insertions) to maintain contact resistance stability. For contacts that have already shown signs of oxidation, electrochemical reduction method can be used to restore conductivity. After treatment, contact resistance testing and plug-in force verification need to be carried out again.
